Here's a little secret that I learned from my nutritionist, Natalia Rose, 8 years ago--dry brushing is one of the best things you can do for your skin. *Side note: this is something for your body not your face! It is WAY too harsh to use on the sensitive skin on your face. I had never heard of dry brushing before Natalia told me about it but it's turned out to be a regular part of my beauty regimen because it keeps my skin looking fresh and young. If you Google it you'll find tons on info on dry brushing but here are my top 5 reasons to start including dry brushing in your routine ASAP:
1. It can help reduce cellulite--SCORE!
2. Stimulates the lymph glands, which are located under your skin.
3. Improves circulation in your body.
4. It's invigorating and will wake you up in the morning pronto!
5. Exfoliation: Gently dry brushing your skin will remove dead skin cells and help improve the overall look of your skin.
Here's what you'll need:
A natural bristle brush (like the one in the photo) and 3 minutes/day. That's it!
Check out the video below (FYI, it doesn't have to take you this long. I seriously do it in less than 5 minutes)
In this helpful video, the nutritionist suggests circular motions and gets very detailed with skin brushing which I love! It may take you 10 minutes or so in the beginning but once you have it down it'll be less than 5! I've been dry brushing for the past 8 years now and I absolutely love it. I travel a ton and my dry skin brush comes with me everywhere. After a long flight, there's nothing better than getting naked in my hotel room bathroom and dry brushing! HA! You'll see what I mean soon enough! Try it...you'll thank me later ladies : )
Do any of you already include dry brushing in your beauty routine? Let me know what your experience with it has been and if you have a different technique or tip that I should include here.
