Alkaline Your Water

We have all been hearing more and more about how having an alkaline diet helps to not only trim your waistline but also clear up your skin, brighten your eyes, help with hair growth and can possibly even fight some pretty awful diseases (like the C-word). So why wouldn't we want to give it a try? The best way to achieve an alkaline body is to stick to foods that help to reduce acidity in your gut... Organic fruits, veggies and whole grains are a great start. However, there's another way to add some alkalinity to your life! And when you hear how easy it is to make, there's no reason not to try it!

Follow these 3 simple steps to create your alkaline water:

1. Add 1/2 a teaspoon aluminum-free baking soda (I like Bob's Red Mill Pure Baking Soda) to a glass of clean and filtered water (I always use distilled water but you can use anything besides gross tap water, which is laden with toxins!).

2. Stir until completely dsisolved.

3. Drink your way to alkalinity!

Voila! It's that easy!

Try to make this little glass-of-goodness at least twice a day and drink it after meals, as it can also help to neutralize stomach acids and relieve indigestion and bloating.
