But what we learned from that, we then applied to our quests for Miss USA and it helped take us all the way! So sometimes losses aren't so bad... as long as you learn from them and are better the next time!

A Letter To My Teenage Self by Tami Farrell, Miss Teen USA 2003

Tami Farrell quickly became one of my best friends when I moved into our apartment on the upper west side of NYC.  She was Miss Teen USA 2003 and when Susie Castillo crowned me the new Miss USA, Susie moved out of the titleholder apartment she shared with Tami and Amelia Vega, Miss Universe 2003, and I moved in.

With the Miss Teen USA competition happening this weekend, we asked Tami to write a blog for us. She creatively decided to write a letter to her teenage self. This is her letter...

The Best Version of YOU, by Amanda Soltero, Miss Nebraska USA 2014

I worked with Amanda tirelessly for months before she competed at Miss Nebraska USA!  She was the perfect "student" and took every single piece of advice that was offered and ran with it.  She truly left no stone unturned and gave her preparations 110%.  I believe that the girl who wins her pageant is typically the one who WANTS IT THE MOST and Amanda is living proof of this!

This is her story...   ~Shandi
